Yearly Archives: 2015

Dear Santa…

Whether you love it or hate it (we LOVE it), there’s no getting away from the fact that Christmas is fast approaching. While belting out heart-wrenching renditions of ‘All I Want for Christmas’, we’ve been thinking about what we ACTUALLY want for Christmas. Let’s just say that we’re a bit more materialistic than Mariah! We’ve been thinking about what we want this year and what we longed for as children, get ready for some serious nostalgia… What was your dream… Read more…

Sprinkling Christmas Magic with NOW TV

We’ve been helping NOW TV to #MakeItXmasNOW, enlisting the help of Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing to play a hilarious festive prank on his co-star Binky Felstead. Inspired by the likes of the Griswold House in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Papa Elf’s home in Elf, and the magical Whoville in How the Grinch Stole Christmas – all of which (and more!) are available on NOW TV – we helped Jamie to secretly transform Binky’s beautiful Chelsea townhouse into a show-stopping… Read more…

2015 at Fever

As we count down the days to a well-earned Christmas break of lazy mornings, Christmas movies, and far too much food, we thought there’s no better way to end than to look back at some of our 2015 highlights. It was such a busy year we couldn’t fit everything in, so here are our best bits! January We kicked off 2015 with our HTC Selfie Stylist campaign – remember when Alexis Knox, the world’s first Selfie Stylist taught us (and… Read more…

#MeetTheMinions

A Ms Marmite Lover Christmas dinner

Sadly for us, the people who think that all we PRs do is party and drink champagne are wrong (and probably watching wayyyyy too much Ab Fab). Having said that – it’s CHRRRRRISSSSSTTTTMAAAAAAAAS – the closest we get to having a taste of the Don Draper lifestyle. A 5-hour boozy lunch or dinner to celebrate the years achievements is technically part of the job, and we don’t have to feel the slightest bit guilty. To kick off our festive food-fest… Read more…

Living in a material world

Last week we were lucky (star) enough to be in the presence of royalty when we were got our hands on a pair of tickets to see the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna, courtesy of the lovely Sky PR team. On a world-wide tour of her latest album ‘Rebel Heart’, she graced the O2 stage for 2 nights and did not disappoint her London fans. When we grow up we want to be…

A couple of our Senior Account Managers recently wrote a blog about doing a PR degree vs. not doing one, and had a falling out as a result. As well as tears and hurt feelings*, it also sparked another loud conversation… what did everyone want to be when they were grown up. As you can imagine the Fever team, not famed for their understated personas, all had very high expectations of their futures and the bright lights of stardom was… Read more…

The Lady in the Van – A Feel Good Film

On a dreary Saturday afternoon we sought some cinematic sunshine courtesy of British institutions, Alan Bennett and Dame Maggie Smith. The Lady in the Van tells the true story of an eccentric ex-nun; Mary Shepherd who parked up in her battered Mimosa yellow van on Bennett’s driveway in Camden for 15 years. The film follows the highs and lows of Mary’s tempestuous relationship with Alan who initially sums her up as “bigoted, rank, rude”, but eventually comes round to reflect… Read more…

Lee Leaving – The End of an Era

You may have seen the sad news on PR Week that our much loved CEO, and favourite engineer-turned-PR from Salford, Lee Nugent has decided to step down in January next year. Lee has been within the Nelson Bostock Group for nearly 20 years now. He played a big role in launching Fever and it goes without saying he’ll be greatly missed by everyone at the agency. SOMETHING THAT CAUGHT OUR EYE A new wine bar opened on Upper St Martin’s Lane this week. Sounds pretty normal, except this bar is actually a Starbucks in disguise with seven types of wine, a connoisseur’s coffee menu and craft beers on offer. Orders are taken on iPads while the familiar sofas are swapped with hipster cool décor, up temp music and low key branding. Fusing coffee bars and booze is a continental trend that’s likely to be hit with… Read more…
