The Walking Dead – Six Seasons. Four minutes. One British Comedy Legend.

The long-awaited new season of zombie drama The Walking Dead hit TV screens last week, with fans finally learning the outcome of the torturous Season 6 cliff-hanger. Episode one set Twitter on fire and if you’ve seen it you’ll know, it was A LOT to handle. Ahead of that first episode airing, we helped NOW TV bring fans new and old up to speed, partnering with British comedy legend John Cleese to recap the key storylines from the previous six seasons.

We condensed 83 episodes – totalling over 70 hours of Walker action – into just four minutes. The dead funny video (you see? Because dead? Whatever) soon gripped the nation, with nearly 630k views on the NOW TV YouTube channel without any media spend, in addition to trending #2 on Facebook with over 21k people talking about it. We secured coverage across sites including Mashable, Metro, Telegraph, Mirror, Digital Spy and HYPEBEAST, and the campaign also went global, being picked up by TIME, LA Times and Entertainment Weekly, and even being shared by an actor from the show on Twitter.
