Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been working with Sky Broadband to unveil some big news and cool features to help families manage their time online – Sky Broadband Buddy. Part of the new Sky Broadband Boost pack, Sky Broadband Buddy is all about improved parental control – with the pretty cool feature of simply being able to pause the internet, both at home, and on the go!
The app is part of Sky’s commitment to helping people stay safe online, and is also supported by Internet Matters. Buddy gives parents the freedom they dream of to create uninterrupted quality family time in a day and greater piece of mind about what they’re viewing on devices.
Last week we kicked off with hands on demos and briefings to give national and consumer tech media an all-important first look at the app ahead of the news breaking. Attendees included Daily Star, Daily Mirror, The Sun, Forbes, Mirror, Pocket-Lint, Expert Reviews, Good Housekeeping, T3 and Trusted Reviews, and more to come as people get to try the app out for themselves!
Forbes even said it’s ‘a strikingly simple and effective solution to keeping tabs on tech-savvy children on the internet.’
