SOMETHING THAT CAUGHT OUR EYE

dress

In what seems to be the most heated debate since the Scottish referendum, the internet is going crazy over the colour of this dress. Is it blue and black, or white and gold? Hailed as one of the biggest differences in colour vision by Jay Neitz, a neuroscientist at the University of Washington, Fever is unanimous in our vote for #teamwhiteandgold

TWEET OF THE WEEK

We love nature and we love seafood. So what do you get when you cross nature with seafood? An unfortunate crab and a satisfied Octopus is what. Take a look at this ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment that the likes of David Attenborough spends a lifetime chasing.

WHAT’S TRENDING

t

With everyone talking about the Brits this week, a handful of Feverettes were lucky enough to bag themselves front row seats. True to form, the Brits managed to deliver its unique mix of incredible performances, awkward celebrity pairings and a dramatic WTF moment when Madonna proved that even Armani can’t stop a serious wardrobe malfunction as she was dragged off the stage by a (newly-fired?) backing dancer. However, our highlight came from Fever favourite Kim Kardashian, who made a quick return from her holiday to introduce “her husband” Kanye West and his latest song ‘All Day’. Kanye was joined by the best in UK grime to deliver another controversial performance that got all the papers talking. And yes, Kim’s booty IS that big in real life.

ONE TO WATCH

Fiction, the latest immersive theatre experience, opens at Battersea Arts Centre next week and we are desperate for tickets. Set in complete darkness, patrons are given headphones and are taken on an ‘anxious journey through the sprawling architecture of our dreams.’ We have a hunch these are going to be the dreams you don’t want to come true…

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO

This week we were lucky enough to have two footballing icons visit us here at Fever! Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel, and Arsenal ladies goalkeeper Emma Byrne, were brought on board to announce the launch of the ‘striking’ new HTC UEFA Champions League Collector’s Edition smartphone. National sports and lifestyle media were offered exclusive interview time with the pair, while fans were offered the chance to take selfies with the football heroes during a #MeetTheChampions event at the Carphone Warehouse store on Oxford Street. If that wasn’t enough, consumers were also given the chance to win a money-can’t-buy phone for themselves. Lots of coverage was achieved off the back of the activity including, The Sun, Daily Star, Daily Mail and Sky Sports News but it doesn’t stop there, more great pieces are still to come…
