Family-fun with PlayStation

During the first in what turned out to be a series of kids events coming from Fever (more on the others in separate blogs), last Saturday the PlayStation UK team hosted an exclusive PlayStation Kids and Parenting Showcase. Parenting bloggers and journalists were treated to an exciting day of gaming, stepping into the fun and colourful world of PlayStation, and getting stuck in to some of the best family-friendly games.

Guests had the chance to let their imaginations run wild with Minecraft, spacesuit up in Ratchet & Clank and get up close and personal with a larger-than-life Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet 3. It wasn’t just the children having fun, the kidults were also fighting for the controller and taking to the pitch in the newly released FIFA 17.

Serious gamers had a chance to refuel for their next game with multi-coloured PlayStation cupcakes and healthy treats, before having the chance to get creative offline at the MakeStation. We also had gaming expert and host of ‘Scummy Mummies’, Ellie Gibson, on hand to provide advice around parental controls, online safety and how to make gaming fun for the whole family.

With over 75 social posts on the day and blog posts rolling in, the event was a big success. Bring on the next one (just maybe wait until the team have rested, turns out kids have ENERGY. Who knew).
