Don’t play with me… it’s time for our E3 round-up

Some call it the Superbowl of the gaming world but to us, it’s more like Christmas come early.

E3, the world’s biggest annual gaming conference took place last week and is the home of the year’s biggest gaming announcements. With the news that Sony, one of the industry’s biggest players, wasn’t attending, speculation was rife that this would be the quietest E3 in recent history…

Cut to Keanu Reeves walking on stage to an adoring crowd at the XBOX briefing, announcing Cyberpunk 2077. Buckle in, as we run through a rollercoaster week in LA.

Microsoft’s XBOX Briefing kicked off the week with a huge list of big hitting titles, like Halo Infinite, Gears 5, Blair Witch, Deathloop and the new (free!) Borderlands 2 DLC, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary from our clients, 2K Games. Top this off with a first look at the next XBOX console, titled ‘Project Scarlett’ and it’s safe to say E3 landed with a bang.

The internet continued to implode with excitement, as Nintendo announced a sequel to their wildly successful Switch game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Pair this with classic nostalgia updates like new Pokémon games and the long-anticipated Animal Crossing: New Horizons… safe to say that we might have witnessed one of the most exciting E3 conferences in the last decade.
