Last week, the Canon UK team and 17 consumer tech and photography press spent a productive afternoon taking Canon’s new EOS 70D for a spin around the Olympic Park.

Venturing into parts of the Park not set to open until 2014, press were able to get an exclusive behind the scenes sneak peak of the Park’s redevelopment and snap away at iconic structures including the Mittal Orbit Tower, Aquatics Stadium and the Olympic Stadium itself. A stop to visit the newly opened Copper Box arena was also on the agenda, where we saw British Gymnastics champion, Laura Halford perform a series of routines to showcase the high-speed burst function of the camera – helping to capture the perfect moment! The group finished the day photographing the grasslands and parklands on the north side of the park using a range of lenses to capture the city skyline.

We’ve seen some great coverage off the back of the event to date including Digital Spy, Tech Radar, Photography Blog and Pocket Lint, to name a few!
