3D Glasses? Should’ve Gone To Toshiba…

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Fever’s gadget team, as they built up to Toshiba’s annual product preview event at the rather swanky Grove hotel in Hertfordshire. The event always has something exciting to show off, and this year was no different.

As well as launching a brand new range of laptops, LED televisions and a new touchscreen tablet, Toshiba also brought it’s glasses-free 3D technology to the UK for the first time, so the gadget press could check it out for themselves.

Using an advanced screen and some incredible eye-tracking magic, Toshiba has been able to reproduce the same 3D effect you see on 3D TVs or in the cinema – but without the need for special glasses. The technology was demonstrated on both laptops and a 40” television – seen in a quick video the team put together during the event. The reaction has been great too, with titles like PC Pro, Tech Radar and Expert Reviews blogging from the event.
