3D Floral Artworks with Poppy Waddilove for London Fashion Week

With the return of London Fashion Week’s refreshed Spring Summer 2018 collections, we collaborated with prominent fashion illustrator Poppy Waddilove to recreate some of our favourite trends using seasonal flower petals for funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk. Monitoring all of the shows across Fashion Week, we selected the most outstanding trends that caught our eye to inspire her 3D floral artworks.

We were watching the reports roll in live and jumped on the looks the moment they left the catwalk. Demonstrating the beauty and versatility of flowers, Poppy sketched the designs from David Koma, Teatum Jones, Mary Katrantzou, Temperley London, Emilia Wickstead and Paula Knorr using watercolours and adorned them with fitting flower petals to match the tones and textures from the original looks.

From deep blue Hydrangea sports luxe, popping pink phlox art deco lines to modern bohemian dahlia, each design turned out immaculately and was photographed on site.

Sharing the the images on the funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk site and social channels, as well as Poppy sharing them on her own, we also offered a lucky entrant the chance to win framed photography of each of the artworks. The competition is live until October 12th 2017 so click here to enter for yourself.
