2015 at Fever

As we count down the days to a well-earned Christmas break of lazy mornings, Christmas movies, and far too much food, we thought there’s no better way to end than to look back at some of our 2015 highlights. It was such a busy year we couldn’t fit everything in, so here are our best bits!

January

We kicked off 2015 with our HTC Selfie Stylist campaign – remember when Alexis Knox, the world’s first Selfie Stylist taught us (and everyone at the Daily Mail and Hello!) to snap the perfect selfie? Read about it here.

February

Football fever swept through the office, when we worked with Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel and Arsenal ladies goalkeeper, Emma Byrne to launch HTC’s UEFA Champions League Collector’s Edition smartphone. After a host of media interviews fans also got to #MeetTheChampions in central London, and be in with the chance to win a phone. Find out what else we did here.

March

We cast some #NOWTVMagic in March, supporting the NOW TV magic inspired advertising campaign by creating a series of Vines with the Geordie Shore gang and the one and only Chris Kamara. With a flick of our wands (that sounded less weird in our heads) we got some awesome results, with huge social numbers and some sterling coverage across the consumer press. Aint no hocus pocus here.

April

In April, we helped the 90s bowl cut make a comeback, to celebrate the release of Dumber and Dumber To on Blu-ray and DVD. Working with Headcase Barbers, we gave free bowl cuts to customers – and secured national coverage too! Check it out here.

Award shortlists rolled in in April too, when we were shortlisted for both the CIPR and SABRE awards for our work on the HTC Face Fusion and Playstation 94 Shop campaigns in 2014.

May

In May we hosted Canon’s bi-annual product event, showcasing the exciting new range of cameras, camcorders and much more. But this wasn’t any usual showcase – instead we took to the streets of London with Parkour athletes and Canon’s bespoke City Guides to demonstrate the unique perspectives you can capture in the city. Take a look at the shots here.

June

Our taste buds were tickled during our Toshiba Skype cook-along with foodie bloggers on Toshiba’s convertible Satellite Radius 11. To host our virtual cook-along, we partnered with Gousto, who sent all our bloggers a package full of ingredients to cook a lovely dish – Persian Halloumi. Find out how the food went down, and get the recipe for yourself here.

We also ventured to LA with PlayStation for E3, the annual event where the big players in the video games industry announced what’s coming up in the year ahead. We got an exclusive look at some of the biggest upcoming releases including Uncharted 4, Horizon, No Man’s Sky and The Last Guardian. Check it out here.

After months and months of planning, we launched one of our biggest campaigns – HTC INK. The campaign saw the introduction of the special edition HTC One M9 INK – a beautiful new smartphone adorned with supermodel Jourdan Dunn’s body art-inspired design. Our penthouse suite at the ME London hosted a star-studded event, where influencers from TV, fashion and music celebrated the handset launch, as well as host of images shot by leading fashion photographer and Vogue regular, Matt Irwin. Re-visit our glitziest night of the year here.

July

The sun shone on our Christmas in July event for OSPREY LONDON. 63 media went to the flagship store on Regent Street to get a first glimpse of the new collections launching in 2015, and get some inspiration for Christmas pressies. Hopefully there’ll be some under the tree for us on Friday. Find out more here.

August

We put the nation to the test in August, to see if they could survive Until Dawn with an exclusive preview of the PS4 game. Just walk through an Until Dawn themed hallway before playing the spine-tingling game – easy! Apparently not, with all shocking reactions filmed to create a hilarious compilation video. Read the full blog post here.

September

This month, we celebrated the legend that is Mr Bean and the launch of the Mr Bean 25th Anniversary DVD Boxset. And what better way to celebrate than with the man himself, riding down the mall, on the roof of his green Mini? While we laughed on the day, we were more than pleased with the coverage, with hits on the likes of the Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph and Huffington Post.

To launch the new platform adventure game, Tearaway™ Unfolded, for the PS4™ we got our creative juices flowing, and created an amazing handcrafted 2.5m version of the iconic London skyline, made entirely from recycled Evening Standard newspapers, completely inspired by the game’s imaginative paper world. More here.

October

We kicked off the month with our first piece of activity for new client Ultimate Ears. Launching the new UE BOOM 2, we hosted media pre-briefs and interviews, a HUGE media and influencer launch party, and an ongoing influencer programme. Check it out here.

What do you get when you cross Harry Judd, the Walking Dead Season 6, NOW TV, and a new unisex scent of decaying flesh? Our ‘Obfleshion – Eau de Walker’ campaign for NOW TV. Our spoof perfume ad and still campaign was a hit, with amazing online coverage across the UK’s biggest websites. Click here to see the gruesome/yummy (delete as appropriate) pics and have a play of the video below.

Our Canon Europe team were also lucky enough to spend some time in Paris for Canon EXPO, Canon’s big product showcase that only takes place every five years. 300 media guests from across Europe were all invited to see Canon’s future of imaging, including concept technologies from R&D in Tokyo. Find out what we got up to in Paris here.

November

This month was of course dominated by the launch of Sky Q. Some of the team had been working on the project for nearly 18 months, so it was a big sigh of relief, and pride, when on the 18th November Sky Q was unveiled at a huge press event on the South Bank, with an amazing response from press attendees – with 173 pieces of coverage, including the front page of the i the day after launch. More on that mammoth launch here.

November also saw the launch of MINIONS on Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™ and DVD, so we teamed up with the yellow sidekicks to host a half-term mummy blogger morning, including an exclusive movie screening. Read the full blog post here.

December

Full of mince pies and slightly irritated by the number of times we’ve heard Mariah scream “all I want for Christmas is you” hasn’t stopped us hitting the headlines in December. First, Made in Chelsea fave Jamie pranked Binky by completely covering her house in Christmas lights, thanks to the festive inspiration of the Christmas movies available on NOW TV. Read about it here.

We also got animalistic at ZSL London Zoo this month, launch the EE Robin at an event for 30+ bloggers and their offspring. With hands on product demos, bird displays (no, really) and a lot of play time for the little ones, everyone had a great time (including the birds, obviously).

To round off the year, the NOW TV team also launched the NOW TV 2016 ‘Men Of Darts’ Calendar. Ahead of the 2016 William Hill World Darts Championship on the 17th December, world famous Darts players, including Phil Taylor, went through striking makeovers to put their own unique stamp on some of Hollywood’s most recognised movies – including Indiana Jones and An Officer and a Gentleman. The result? A DPS in the Daily Star, full pages in The Sun, The Mirror and The Metro, with a host more online.

Full blog posts on these campaigns coming soon. Watch this space.

What a year, we’ve done some work we’re really proud of, and had a great time along the way (as the gallery below will show you). We have a feeling 2016 is going to be even bigger and better. See you then!
