With around one hundred images in total, HTC went about creating an exhibition of some of the best. At Top Office Machines, a former computer repair shop that’s now a gallery and creative workshop, we worked with curators to create a week-long exhibition of the photos, including a screen of HTC Zoe shots and a custom-built Zoetrope.

The exhibition launched last night with an appearance from former Spurs and England legend Ledley King in attendance to talk about his own experience growing up in East London and learning to play football in the streets of his neighbourhood.

The exhibition runs from Friday 24th until Tuesday 28th at Top Office Machines, 133-135 Bethnal Green Road (the top of Brick Lane). It’s free to enter and open 10am-10pm all the bank holiday weekend – stop by if you’re in the area!

…loving Fast and the Furious 6 at the cinema – fast cars, London locations and a seriously beefed up Rock and Vin Diesel. What more could you want?

…watching the mighty Bradford City for a second time at Wembley this season! Thankfully it was a bit more enjoyable than the League Cup final, as City put three first-half goals past Northampton Town to secure a place in League One. Super City!

…getting a taste of the Caribbean at the Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill. A favourite of royalty (Princess Eugenie held her birthday party here, attended by Harry, Cressida and Bea), the jerk chicken and coconut infused cocktails makes for a heady night!

…reliving our youth at The Big Reunion gig at the O2. Rocking out to classics from 5ive (or should we say 4our), Atomic Kitten, Blue, Honeyz, Liberty X, 911 and double-denim delights B*Witched. Sadly, we were reminded that we’re not as young as we thought after “bodyshaking” the night away.

…celebrating in Amsterdam as Chelsea scrape another win in Europe, this time against the mighty Benfica. Well, at least Tarek’s happy about it… (#BenitezOUT)

The event offered press the chance to get hands on with new product, trialling key features using exciting and exclusive locations as photographic backdrops. Hosted at King’s College and the disused Aldwych Underground Station (closed since 1994), media were invited to explore and photograph behind-the-scene areas include an abandoned lift-shaft, two disused tube platforms and the station’s original ticket hall. A lucky few even ventured onto an out-of-service 1970′s Northern Line train stationary on the platform whilst others tired out light painting with torches in an abandoned tube tunnel.

Our dedicated London Underground hosts also treated journalists to a mini walk and talk history lesson where they filled media in on the history of the station and its use as a filming location. To name a few, Aldwych Underground Station has been used as a backdrop for the new series of Sherlock on the very same platforms we visited and the station ticket hall has played host to film crews from ‘Atonement’, ‘Mr Selfridge’ and the horror film ‘Creep’. Another interesting fact shared was that the station was in fact used to store British Museum and V&A treasures during the last two wars.

After photography aplenty, we made our way back up 140 stairs to ground level. A little puffed out, press were treated to champagne and canapés and were invited to share and print their snaps from the event. With a group of journalists drawn from the UK to the UAE and everywhere in between, representing titles such as VICE magazine and Elle Deco, the tour took place over two of Milan’s busiest days of the year, where thousands of the global design community descend upon the city to show off their latest creations. At each stop of our tour we were met by personalities who gave the group a unique insight into their work, giving the group an exclusive experience beyond just visiting the highlights.

The tour took in some Milan must-sees, such as the Spazio Rossana Orlandi – a gallery in a converted tie factory where Rosanna Orlandi, the grande dame of Milan design, brings together work from the up-and-coming designers she scouts from all over the world. We were met by Ms Orlandi herself, who brought along Maurizio Cattelan – an enfant terrible of the art world, famed for once having stolen the entire contents of a neighbouring artist’s gallery and passing it off as his own exhibition…thankfully no such hijinks this time around. We also had portraits done in the ‘Face-o-Mat’ – think photo booth, but instead of a camera, a Swedish guy painting an abstract likeness.

Over the course of the tour, we also saw ‘Milan’s ugliest building’ (the Torre Velasca – you be the judge), art deco splendour at the Villa Necchi Campiglio, the latest designs at the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition and got a private tour of the MOST exhibition from the legendary Tom Dixon, learning how to inflate steel with bicycle pumps (!) along the way. With several amazing meals added to our waistlines, the tour was rounded off with a few Negronis at Bar Basso – a bar that goes from quiet local to crazy hub during Design Week, when hundreds of culturati line the pavements outside until the early hours.

…inspired by the breadth of talent on show at the Sony World Photography Exhibition 2013. Although William Eggleston’s images we the initial draw, some of the other works on show were equally impressive. We especially liked Andrea Gjestvang’s moving portraits, as well as Daniel Duart’s images of cities taken from within a taxi – very reminiscent of Karl Baden’s street photography series In and Out of the Car.

…enjoying the bank holiday weekend up in Edinburgh by staying at the gorgeous Tigerlilly hotel and sipping on candy floss cocktails. With a trip up to Edinburgh Castle and a walk through the historic Old Town followed by dinner at the Witchery, this beautiful city has something for everyone.

…sunning ourselves over the bank holiday on the lovely Brighton and Southsea Beaches: tucking into traditional fish and chips, laying on the pebble beaches and stuffing our faces with candy floss and rock – perfect. There were a few sunburned faces when we all arrived back in the office on Monday morning!

… enjoying Amsterdam amidst a sea of ‘oranje’ to celebrate the coronation of the new King of Holland, Willem-Alexander. Hup hup Holland!

… watching the Hammersmith Head boat race on Auriel Kensington Rowing Club’s roof terrace in the first sunshine of the year. Beer in hand, the prefect way to spend an afternoon!

And finally… …getting Bootylicious with Beyoncé! After kicking off her tour to rave reviews in London this week, we couldn’t wait to get down and join in on the fun! Performing all her classic hits alongside those unforgettable dance moves (which we know off by heart!) we left the show even more Crazy in Love with her than before!

… admiring the city’s Marathon runners on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We may have been slightly distracted by the glorious spring weather and tempting beer gardens, but at least we still toasted the runners as they crossed the finishing line!

…enjoying the views from the top of St Paul’s. As the sun continued to shine the week, we decided to visit one of London’s most prestigious landmarks. After taking in the beauty of the building’s interiors, we climbed all the way to the top. Even more breathtaking than the whopping 528 steps to the peak were the panoramic views of the capital from the Golden Gallery. With not a cloud in the sky, we couldn’t have picked a better day!

…jetting off to beautiful Croatia with Canon. We took 18 pan-European photography press to Plitvice Lakes National Park and Željava Abandoned Military Base to test the EOS 5D Mark III to the max in a range of tricky shooting conditions. We were lucky enough to be joined by Canon Ambassador Richard Walch and Canon Explorer Danny Green who guided the press in talking stunning images on the camera. The team have been handling some of Hollywood’s most prised assets, from candid snaps on-set of 1927’s ground-breaking The Jazz Singer, the first ever ‘talkie’, through to iconic props and costumes from modern movies such as the Wonka bars from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and original costumes from British-made favourites The Dark Knight Trilogy, Dark Shadows and Jack and the Giant Slayer.

The campaign kicked off on 4^th April, the studio’s official anniversary, with an entertainment news story on Daybreak and has continued throughout the month. Highlights include a stunning ten-page photo archive ‘Spectrum’ special in The Sunday Times Magazine, features in the Independent and The Daily Telegraph and an exclusive archive feature on The One Show.

The celebrations are set to continue throughout the year, with the release of ‘Best Of’ box sets and limited edition Blu-rays showcasing some of the most iconic films in Hollywood’s history. Watch this space for lots more exciting activity to come!

… spending a day in Kew’s beautiful botanical gardens. While the gardens hosted a selection of sculptures by artist David Nash, the real draw is still the weird and wonderful plant-life, as well as areas such as the faux-Chinese pagoda and the Japanese Gateway. Even though it was raining, we still managed to get around under cover!

… playing Maid Of Honour in Budapest. Keeping with the spirits of a traditional hen do, the trip began by hitting the assortment of quirky and hip bars the city has to offer, including Ruin pubs, the infamous Ice Bar and big club Morrison’s, where karaoke was sung, very loudly, and very ermm, tunefully. We then delved into a cocktail making class at Café Vian and relaxed in the gorgeous Szechenyi Baths. After a couple of days taking in purely the Pest side of the city, it was time to cross over the beautiful Danube to Buda, via the hop-on hop-off Giraffe bus tour. After seeing the sights, a cultural Hungarian meal of Goulash, meats and fried cheese, along with pints of beer, was tucked into. A curious city with heaps to offer. Highly recommended.

… up to our ears in beads! Fever’s third ‘Crafty Collective’ was all about jewellery making – and boy was it a lot harder than we imagined. Filled with excitement to create a must-have item, we braided, clasped, threaded and all-round bedazzled to our hearts content. Some of us got the knack of it, creating the cutest bracelets and necklaces to die for! Others (most) weren’t quite as successful with beads and string flying everywhere. Fun was had by all but needless to say we’ll leave this one to the professionals…

… and finally – eating pies and getting excited for the year ahead, after our FY14 kick off meeting and team night out at Bumpkin in Notting Hill. Marvellous!
