Return of the Morph, once again, return of the Morph

Sometimes a brief lands at your door (well inbox) and you think, yes. Just a big yes. That is exactly what happenened when we were presented with the prospect of helping a little clay legend make a comeback to our screens, with new and exclusive Morph episodes coming exclusively to Sky Kids. Just in time for half-term, we helped Sky share the exciting news with a new generation of kids, asking media, mummy bloggers and their children to channel their… Read more…

Introducing The Sound of Happy…

When C&G baby club asked us to join their integrated campaign to help launch ‘The Sound of Happy’, the first song scientifically tested and created to make babies happy, we were tickled pink (and blue, and every other colour because who needs gender conformity, am I right). The Happy Song is not your average nursery rhyme. Created by Grammy award-winning Imogen Heap and expert psychologists, it’s no surprise the song has reached number one in the kids iTunes chart. We… Read more…

The Walking Dead – Six Seasons. Four minutes. One British Comedy Legend.

The long-awaited new season of zombie drama The Walking Dead hit TV screens last week, with fans finally learning the outcome of the torturous Season 6 cliff-hanger. Episode one set Twitter on fire and if you’ve seen it you’ll know, it was A LOT to handle. Ahead of that first episode airing, we helped NOW TV bring fans new and old up to speed, partnering with British comedy legend John Cleese to recap the key storylines from the previous six… Read more…

Getting curious with…Dan Wong Photography

As an agency that looks after PR, media relations, design, video production, events, social, digital and influencer marketing, good photography is vital to the success of our campaigns. Step forward, Dan Wong, our resident photographer and all round good guy. Dan is involved in pretty much every bit of business across Fever, as well as Nelson Bostock and other Creston agencies. With his very trusty Canon gear (what else right), he can do it all – from product photography to… Read more…

Guests had the chance to let their imaginations run wild… Read more…

Canon at photokina – #PursuitoftheShot

photokina is “the world’s leading trade fair for photo and video”, it’s also our two yearly chance to shout about Canon from the roof tops, so we got to yelling last month. Trade shows can be dry, we all know it – but the joy of working with Canon is their products are amazing and the industry in general is all about exciting, creative photography, so this a rare trade show that is anything but dry (wet?). We took on… Read more…

Celebrating funny ladies

This week was all about the lols when some of the Fever team headed over to KOKO for the final of the Funny Women Awards 2016. Sponsored by Benefit and in association with Refuge, the comedy competition encouraged donations throughout the night in aid of helping domestic violence victims. The night not only lived up to expectation when it comes to serving up some seriously funny females, but was also a huge celebration of the comedy industry and how far… Read more…

One little gadget turns your beat up Corsa into a fully connected car

Today’s new cars are crammed full of all kinds of great tech; sat nav, Bluetooth calling, voice command, cup holders, arm rests, seat belts (EDITOR: yes, we get it, you’re being irreverent). Connected tech is relatively common in an increasing range of models – from top-end Mercs and Beemers to your garden-variety hatchbacks and family saloons. Some even have their own built in Internet connectivity, or connect directly to a smartphone so all that tech you carry in your pocket… Read more…

All hail our cosmic emperor Bill Bailey

Since its 2013 VGX announcement, No Man’s Sky has been the trendy quiet boy at the back of the proverbial games industry bar. If Call of Duty is the big guy buying shots, and FIFA is the tanned one on the dance floor, No Man’s Sky is the hipster in the corner, looking cool and arty with everyone talking about him despite nobody really knowing much about what his deal is. We’ve been counting down the days until we got… Read more…

Suicide Squad European premiere

A couple of weeks back we were spoilt with tickets to the Suicide Squad European premiere. The movie had come under some flack for being, well, not great, but we had our star spotting hats on none the less and walked the red carpet regardless (dodging blasts of flames because this is Hollywood and one does not simply walk a carpet anymore). The full cast of famous faces were in attendance, including model-turned actress Cara Delevingne, Aussie actress Margot Robbie,… Read more…

Our favourite kinda box set

Chocolate lover or not, you’ll have yourselves drooling over our latest Sky Box Sets collaboration. Our sweetest campaign yet, we partnered with master chocolatier Paul A Young to create the first ever TV themed box of chocolates (and our favourite kinda box set) – The Ultimate Chocolate Box Set. After numerous chocolate tasting sessions (the struggle is real), we worked with Paul to create a box of nine deliciously handcrafted chocolates inspired by the Addictively Good shows available on Sky… Read more…

Pokemon Go – 10 signs of addiction

People are getting out of bed at 11.15 because of a Squirtle (Simon at our office took himself off to Hammersmith in search of an elusive Onix that never showed). They’ve downloaded an app and changed their Apple ID so that Niantic thinks they live in Minnesota. They’re crashing their cars in search of animal monsters. It’s safe to say, the world has gone Poke-mad. We have a lot of gamers in the agency, and while we haven’t neglected our… Read more…

This is why we love Snapchat (even though we’re not teenagers)

Snapchat has snuck up on Twitter like ninjas in the night, overtaking their number of users for the first time, despite many people still not having a clue what it’s all about. What started out as a niche network for teenagers, with a USP of the images disappearing after they had been viewed, has now hit the mainstream in a way few predicted. If like us you’ve become smitten with Snapchat’s evolving features, rapidly growing celebrity database and engaging channels… Read more…

James Acaster “Reset” – Udderbelly Festival 2016

What connects a supermarket honey scam, the name Shaun (or Sean), and the witness protection act? Sadly, it’s not a regional news headline generator. It’s comedian James Acaster – four-time Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Award nominee. Let’s face it, it’s been a miserable week/month/year (delete as appropriate). And that’s just the weather. So, refusing to give up, we headed down to the Udderbelly Festival for some cheering up. In concept, the pop-up Southbank venue is clearly designed for summer – outside… Read more…

A whole host of celebrities joined us to celebrate the launch of Sky Box Sets Club

Last week the Fever team headed to London’s luxurious 30 Pavilion Road in London with former Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie and Alex Zane, to ensure the first Sky Box Sets Club was one to remember. During the fantastic event (even if we do say so ourselves), attendees watched, debated and discussed the key ingredients that make Game of Thrones, Billions and The Affair so addictively good. We had a great crowd, including a number of celebrities including Pixie… Read more…

Ben & Holly, SpongeBob SquarePants and Scooby-Doo lend a helping hand to launch the Sky Kids Café

If you follow us on Instagram you may have noticed that this week and last we were hard at work launching the Sky Kids Café – the first ever TV themed play and café experience. After months and months of hard work and planning, The Sky Kids Cafe opened its doors to families for free during May half term in celebration of the new Sky Kids app. We took over The Vinyl Factory in the heart of Soho and turned… Read more…

Are you sitting comfortably? It’s time to watch your favourite box set

Nail-biting Game of Thrones plots, tantalising sex-filled scenes in The Affair, or dialogue delights from the West Wing – the appeal of box sets is undeniable and we as a nation just can’t get enough. So, to celebrate this social phenomenon, the ever-growing popularity of box sets and revel in those oh-my-god-that-did-not-just-happen episodes, last week we launched a new campaign for Sky Box Sets. Underpinned with key consumer insight and research that identified nearly two thirds (64%) of Brits are… Read more…

Launching Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End across Europe

From the Amazon Rainforest to the mythical kingdom of Shambala, the world has been on quite the journey with Nathan Drake since the first Uncharted game dropped in 2007, so we were beyond excited to be a part of the final chapter launching Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End across Europe. Ok we weren’t hunting lost treasure and fighting bad guys but we’re claiming our piece of the adventure none the less. We started this project with PlayStation Europe in January… Read more…

Could eSports sponsorship be the new face of sports sponsorship?

eSports is becoming a huge deal in the UK, with reports over the weekend that the IOC is considering an application to include it in the 2020 Tokyo games. The industry is currently worth $748m, with 77% of the value generated from sponsorships and ad revenue. In 2015 alone, 188 million people watched eSports, with that number expected to grow this year, with brands including Sky broadcasting tournaments. eSport events like Insomnia are becoming bigger and better, and the ESL… Read more…

Drinking cosmos with SATC’s Willie Garson

It was an exciting time at Fever towers this week, as our new BFF Willie Garson – AKA Sex and the City’s Standford Blatch – visited the UK for a press junket to celebrate 18 years of the iconic series, and the arrival of the complete Seasons 1-6 on NOW TV next week. Sky Kids App launch

This week Fever and Sky transported journalists back to their childhood for the Sky Kids App launch, and truth be told we turned into big kids ourselves once all the grown up stuff was sorted. The team transformed the beautiful South London restaurant Tanner and Co. into a playful breakfast briefing, with a nod of childhood nostalgia too – cue a giant Rubik cube, cut-outs of the Sky Kids app buddies, as well as a cuddly SpongeBob and Ben &… Read more…

Get us to the church

Wedding Fever took over, uhhh, Fever (NOTE FROM EDITOR: this sentence needs work) this month as we found ourselves surrounded by confetti and lace (lots of lace) to launch a campaign that helped UK brides get to the church on time. Having a wonderful time at wonder.land

Last week saw two of Fever’s own don their culture caps and head down to The National Theatre for a modern day adventure into wonder.land – the ‘dot’ providing the crucial distinction between Lewis Carroll’s iconic story and the digital masterpiece we witnessed! An extraordinarily elegant combination of live theatre and digital technology, we can safely say that wonder.land is like no other stage production you will ever see. The performance follows heroine Aly, an inner-city teenager, in a coming-of-age… Read more…

The rise and fall of print

Last week saw The Independent announce the end of its 30 year print run, as it moves to an online-only model from March. This news amounts to a significant loss of 100 jobs in the media industry, jobs that are already seriously hard to come by, but it is clearly a sign of the times. It’s sad to see the print edition of The Independent cease, but it was definitely a publication that was read more digitally than in print,… Read more…

This is our Everest

Feel that chill? That was us causing a storm around the blockbuster Blu-Ray and DVD release of Everest. Right from the off we knew we wanted to grab the attention and imagination of the UK and use a quote from the film – ‘Human beings aren’t meant to function at the cruising altitude of 747’ – as our hook. To bring that quote to life we used research that looked at the measures humans will take to overcome something unimaginable… Read more…

Dry January? New year new you?

January got all up in our face a little too fast for our liking – how is it nearly February? – and yet here we are, wondering what this year will bring, and what can be done to improve on the last. New year’s resolutions need nurturing and, well, some hardcore determination. But are we fighting a losing battle? January hits us with the biggest sales, the most depressing day of the year AKA Blue Monday, non-existent funds from the… Read more…

eSports – Taking the UK by Storm

Last week a Minecraft Boris Johnson announced London Games Festival 2016 and the gamers of Fever couldn’t be more excited. It got us thinking about how gaming is becoming less ‘behind-closed doors’ and increasingly a part of mainstream culture. One off shoot of this is the rise of eSports, which is arguably set to take the world by storm over the next couple of years. eSports – or electronic sports – is the umbrella term for organised, competitive computer gaming,… Read more…

Feeling Fine Among the Feline – London Cat Village

If you’re of the same persuasion, we strongly recommend you spend an hour at the London Cat Village – a couple of Fever girls did and they’ve been kitty cat crazy ever since. You’ve heard of cat cafes, but there is a whole village of feline friends on Rivington Street waiting for you to explore. You go in and after a quick pep-talk and… Read more…

Time to announce the #OfficeElfie winner

After brainstorms that started back in June (we take Christmas very seriously) and lots of deliberating, we came up with #OfficeElfie. It’s everything you need… Read more…
