Giant Rubber Duck Swims Down River Thames To Celebrate Jackpotjoy.com’s New ‘FUNdation’

Today the River Thames was the centre of a daft spectacle  as a giant 50 foot rubber duck swam down it to celebrate the launch of Jackpotjoy.com’s new Facebook FUNdation –   a bursary granting funds and rewards for daft ideas to encourage Brits to have more fun.  And the Fever team were super proud to be part of it! … Shooting some B-Ball netball, outside of school! As part of NBG’s 25th anniversary celebrations, we thought a spot of mixed netball was in order. With the best Wing Attack and Goal Defence seen since the Olympics, the All-Star teams included Fever and Nelson Bostock players from past and present. … riding shotgun in an LAPD car, thanks to the docu-style of David Ayer’s End of Watch, following two officers caught on the wrong side of a Mexican drug cartel. Urban Music Adventure in Oslo with HTC

Last week, the Fever team set off to host yet another HTC European media tour, this time in Norway. The press trip invited media to take part in a music fuelled tour of Oslo, a city renowned for its innovative underground music scene. Journalists were all provided with the latest HTC handsets (HTC One X+ and 8X HTC windows phones) and got busy putting the handsets audio capabilities to the test. Read more…

Fever Baby Boom!

Hot on the heels of the gorgeous baby Evie coming to visit Team Fever last month, the lovely Laura B brought little Jackson in to see us today. A throng of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ filled the office as we queued up for a cuddle of the handsome little man. He slept peacefully throughout despite being passed around practically everyone in the office with two X chromosomes.   A handful of excitable Feverettes were lucky enough to get up close and personal with Rihanna last night as they watched her perform the London-leg of her 777 tour. Rihanna stopped off in London to perform to an intimate crowd of press, competition winners and die-hard fans (some queued for 12 hours to get in!) to celebrate the up and coming release of her new album Unapologetic.   Read more…

  … being inspired to go out and shoot more at the excellent Henri Cartier-Bresson: A Question of Colour at Somerset House. The exhibit, curated by William A Ewing, features street photographers that have all embraced colour as a medium, while still practising Bresson’s idea of ‘the decisive moment’. Fever Get Their Knives Out . . . For The Annual Pumpkin Carving Massacre!

Yesterday was Halloween and that can only mean one thing. . . our annual Pumpkin Carving Massacre! So off we went on our witch’s brooms and flew over to the pub where pumpkins, spiders and cobwebs awaited us (along with a severed leg or two). The drinks flowed and the food just kept on coming, but we were all busy concentrating on creating a pumpkin-masterpiece to impress the judge/barman at the end of the night. Read more…

OM4G That Was a Big Launch

If you opened a paper or turned on a TV yesterday, you’ll know it was a huge day for Britain as 4GEE, the first 4G network, launched. Highly Commended Twice At The PR Week Awards

  Last night saw the  PR world descend upon the glamorous Grosvenor House, Park Lane. The Fever team were up for three awards: Best Live Event and Marcoms under 100k (for Gold’s Only Fools and Horses 30th anniversary campaign) and Global PR (for American Express: Room for Thought) so we dusted down our DJs and high heels and joined  one of the biggest nights in the PR industry’s calendar. Drinking Kir St Germain cocktails at the Mahogany Bar at Wilton’s Music hall. Dubbed as the city’s ‘hidden stage’, Wilton’s is the world’s oldest surviving Music Hall and has a gorgeous side bar with delicious cocktails and hand-made snacks. We didn’t make it beyond the bar this time (the cocktails were tooo good!), but the stunning venue is also home to a diverse programme of entertainment including theatre, music, comedy, cinema and cabaret to be checked out on future visits… Read more…

This Week at Fever Towers We Have Entered the Guinness World Record Hall of Fame!

  Over the last 10 weeks, we have been touring the country and inviting families to take part in a Cartoon Network Guinness World Record challenge of building a giant Ben 10 alien out of plastic bricks and breaking a record for the most participants involved.  And with the support of celebrity Mums Stacey Solomon, Tina O’Brien, Kirsty McCabe and just under 19,000 parents and children, we did it!   Read more…

Martin Bostock Appointed Chairman of PRCA PR Council

  We’re delighted to announce that our Chairman and founder, Martin Bostock, has been appointed Chairman of the PRCA PR Council  for 2012-2013. Previously, Martin was Vice-Chairman of the council and he played a key role in the creation and launch of the PRCA’s Partnership Charter, a best practice guide to successful commercial relationships between clients and PR consultancies. HTC Dusk Until Dawn. That Is A Wrap!

    During the summer, team HTC made the most of the long evenings and early dawns when running the lifestyle photography project, HTC My Life: Dusk Until Dawn. The HTC Community Project Comes To Life

  You may remember that the HTC team at Fever recently enjoyed an afternoon of chocolate eclairs and chit chat at The Groucho Club with DJ Trevor Nelson and winner of the HTC Community project Damola…but it wasn’t all treats and tea!
